Terms of Use
Last updated 22 April 2026
By downloading, installing or using Pitstop - Car Service Tracker (the “app”) you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the app.
What Pitstop is
Pitstop is an organisation tool for personal car service history. It helps you record what has been done to your car, parse service documents with AI, and estimate when upcoming work is due. It is not a substitute for a qualified mechanic, a manufacturer handbook, a pre-purchase inspection, or an MOT.
No warranty on AI output
Parts of the app use AI to read documents, research manufacturer service intervals, and flag potential gaps on cars you’re considering buying. AI can be wrong. Check the source documents yourself before making any decision that costs money — especially before buying or selling a vehicle. We are not liable for decisions you make based on AI output.
Your data is your responsibility
Because Pitstop has no accounts, your cloud backup is keyed to a random device identifier stored in the iOS Keychain. Keep your device secure. We cannot restore your data if you lose your device without a backup, reset the device ID, or delete your cloud snapshot.
Acceptable use
- Don’t upload documents that aren’t yours or that contain other people’s personal data without permission.
- Don’t try to reverse-engineer, abuse, or overload the backend.
- Don’t use the app to misrepresent a vehicle’s history to a buyer.
Changes and termination
We may update or discontinue the app or these terms at any time. If we discontinue the service, we will give at least 30 days’ notice so you can export your data.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
