Do I need an account?

No. Pitstop works with no sign-in. A random device ID stored in your iPhone’s secure Keychain identifies your cloud backup.

How do I move my data to a new iPhone?

In Settings, open “Restore on another device”. Follow the on-screen instructions — you’ll transfer your device ID to the new phone and your cars, service history, and upcoming work will be restored.

How do I delete my data?

Delete individual cars from the Garage tab, or use “Delete all cloud data” in Settings to wipe the server-side snapshot. Uninstalling the app removes all local data. If you need help wiping data for a device you no longer have, email us the device ID and we’ll delete it manually.

Why does the AI sometimes miss things on a service doc?

Service slips vary wildly in format — some are faded receipts, some are typed stamps in a handbook. You can always edit any field the AI filled in. Tap the record and use Edit.

Why can't Pitstop pull MOT history automatically?

The UK MOT check service blocks automated access. Instead, take a screenshot of the page at gov.uk/check-mot-history, then import the screenshot from the car detail page. Pitstop reads it and builds the history.

Is Pitstop free?

Yes, for now. If that changes we’ll tell you inside the app before anything is charged.
